New beginnings and old comfy ways :)

2013 has been interesting and troublesome for all of us. The happiness and the sadness. The heartaches and sleepless nights. Imagine the terror, the hopelessness, the irony. The kisses, the hugs and the blushes. The bubbles, the dandelions, the spring. The heat, the wave and the sexiness. The red, the orange and the yellow. The snowflakes, the cold and the green teas(fave!-hehe)

Yes, my followers.. my life  as a blogger sure is like the life out there.. outside. Sorry for the depth..but manga blogging sure got all the adjectives and nouns I used above. *chuckles* Those interesting new mangas I read. The troublesome mangas I hated to love. Those heartaches of the girl protagonists that were devastatingly hurtful. Sleeplessness nights for another manga chapter I wanted to read(and those anime updates too!). The terrors of manga update pending, hopelessness of my favorite manga translations and the irony of being able to be thankful after shouting to some translation sites for updates(inner shouts i mean). The kisses of those ships, the hugs of those friendzoned characters and the blushes of Mamura(Hirunaya no Ryuusei)--lol). The spring love of those oneshots I loved this year--i know I bombarded you guys with a lot of those. The summer episodes and the summer anime and the fanservice they all gave. Yes, I am talking to you, Free! guys. The fall of the fandoms of the manga and anime were finished and completed this year. The winter chills and the repeated greetings from yours truly. All above has been spent this year by me and you guys. So let me give you my gratefulness. Thank you!

I started Fymb in tumblr in May 2010, can you believe it? It will be 2014 soon and just you wait for more enthusiasm from me to come. :)
Life has been good, you should never doubt that. I won't compare you to the starving children in Africa because that will be a pity comparison. I would just like you to be thankful for the small things. If there's one thing I would want you to know guys is a new year is here because it's something to look forward to. Don't ever stress yourself. Love yourself. Be selfish. If it means loving yourself. It's okay to pamper yourself to make yourself feel good. Choose good thoughts. Don't be like some people who craves for attention, give yourself an attention by taking care of yourself. Don't let yourself down just because people don't understand you. Let them hear their words and then let them hear yours.

Write to me anytime.

Happy new year, followers!

make my heart doki doki* list

Just as sweet as  title, yes.. i'll be enumerating my 5 shoujo romantic diabetic-hyperglycemic-inducing(lol) list of shoujo manga that i will totally be going to read this August!(future tumblr posts!-so better be following me there)

Before that.. let me tell you guys that i missed writing in here and be rest assured that I'll still fill up my blog once in a while, if I have time. The tumblog will go as my life goes--and as much as I want it to run. The connection of FYMB tumblr and blogspot sites is still here. :)

So..I'd thought of those popular mangas that are in good sales and filtered it(for now) with this popular manga genre: SHOUJO. This list is from June to present sales. (from source: mal- Japan-I am not in Japan tho)

This list contains selected manga/s that I haven't read yet. Some manga are in josei category. This manga list  are always on sales so better look for them first in stores before reading them in any free manga reading sites online.

Let's break it down!(yow!)

1. Kobayashi ga Kawai Sugite Tsurai!!

Kobayashi Mitsuru and Kobayashi Megumi are twin brother and sister, with identical faces but radically different personalities: while Mitsuru is a confident charmer who wins the hearts of dozens of girls, Megumi is an average otaku who is in love with a virtual hero. Yet, the two's lives start to turn upside down after Mitsuru and Megumi switch roles.

2. ReRe Hello

Ririko is a hardworking girl who has been performing the role of a mother in her household after the death of her own one when she was five. When her father, a handyman, is stricken with illness and admitted to a hospital, Ririko decides to take up the role of a handyman to help her father's business in his absence. Her first client is a rich teenage boy with high expectations of his helpers. Will she be able to satisfy him?

3. Forget-me-not (Haru Meguru)

The story revolves around a high school girl, Umeno, who attempted suicide jumping in a river because she’s been bullied. She survived and now in the hospital she’ll meet patients of her generation that will encourage her daily and give her the strength to go on.
*inserted: Obata Yuuki's manga(creator of Bokura ga ita)

4. Akai Ito

A red thread exists between a guy and girl that are fated to be together, a bond that can’t be seen by the naked eye. Finally, this fated romantic love will begin to open its curtain.

5. Boukyaku no Shirushi to Hime

After 3662 blind dates, the 160-years-old Headless King that everyone fears of, is finally getting married! But when he faces the cute and gentle Princess, the King keeps hiding from her instead!? How will the Headless King and the Princess get to know each other?

the trait I don't like about some shoujo boys

I've read too much shoujo manga that i can point out what i don't want in a boy protagonist in a particular manga. If I found it in one, it's either 'goodbye', or 'I can take it just as long as you update fast'. Because, i swear to you guys, authors with this same kind of character progression needs to know that boys naturally didn't decide stupidly in a shallow-as-ever problem. And i think, they didn't know that it's irritating. I believe boys are smart enough to know what is the difference between black and white.

Shoujo boys can't save the world by being with another girl because they can relate to them, or because they can't get out of her situation. Shoujo boys can't be stuck into a girl just because they are bound to help them. They can't be a martyr of a war that didn't even exist. You can't just be with a girl who's so sad that you can't be in a date with your girlfriend, for instance. Furthermore, a shoujo boy is not in a shounen one, who save everybody. They can't understand everyone. I believe that a shoujo guy got a lot of character progression because it centers, simply, by how he manage himself with the main girl or with the other girls. If they act stupid at some point, it should be because it's from a circumstance that still got a lot of challenge.

I've always spotted this kind of guy. They started fine. They possessed good guy traits like they save the main girl's small predicaments, or simply by starting to just be with the girl. They were built in a good guy facade that charms his way to a girl's heart. And then, the conflict arrives. You know, it would be okay and understandable that an ex-girlfriend or a past lover will come and shaken the main couple. It  doesn't, however, if a certain girl can somehow make a guy stupid enough to act as if he doesn't know who he like. It's as if he's not stable enough both on his feelings or his decisions.

You might remember some manga which have these guy characters. These shallow, obviously stupid guy characters need to stop. Of course, there are no perfect guy, even in a fictional story, but this cliche' is a trend to make a manga interesting, but fails in a lot of things particularly in character development and depth.

To be fair, these guys are in a rough situation in some but the best guys weren't built from a shallow, stupid decisions, but a learn-able, fail-able failures that gets better. Which I think, are from good story conflicts.

I personally don't care if he doesn't end with the main girl. If in the end, he makes best decisions every time a good failure had been made. In short, why choose the mango, when your hands want the banana? Why did you say yes, when you are in the verge of saying no? Make up your own mind boy!(and some authors) I repeat, those guys can't save the world, and be like a konoha ninja when they are in a shoujo world. They can't even save all the damsel in distress just because they went through the same as them in the past. They can save either themselves or that only one damsel in distress.
*chuckles*

Last but definitely not the least, authors.. make up your mind. Make a charming but stupid in decision-making- guy(which is so damn stupid) or an introvert guy but a brave one in the end, and stick with it(for instance). Don't confuse readers. :P Make a lot of depth. Make a stable guy that is protagonist-worthy.

Chihayafuru S2, ep 16 recap, late thoughts

Hi! how's spring so far? spring here is taking its time real slow. the sprouts are there so that's good.

I forgot commenting about Chihayafuru, more over, posting it in tumblr because its a frickin' recap. :) The frustration! I feel you guys! Just when its getting better and better, they pulled of a effin recap. well played.well played. *nods*
I just noticed two simple things that made me think of the whole Chihayafuru anime/manga.

One is.. even in recaps, Arata got small air time. i somehow pity him(and the fans!). :( *chuckles*
As you all know, I sided more on Taichi but Arata will shine soon, i hope. :) Arata fans there are also waiting for his match, isn't it? Girl, his voice tho. That voice actor is so good. I love him. When I see Arata talk, I really wanted to listen to him every time.

Two, deym.. how cute Shinobu here?!
I feel somehow the mangaka loves this girl character. She's the best, you know what i mean? She does  amazing karuta. She's cute when she wanted to. She can eat and get fat and get thin. She is admired by everyone. She's plain and goofy and wears t-shirt whenever she wants. She doesn't care about everybody(well, it really depends if this is a liability or asset). She does all her thing. The differences of her and Chihaya is so damn big. But when it comes to this character, everything is possible that somehow always ends in her in victory. Chihaya's difficulties in winning was all deserved because of her flaws. But if Shinobu will be defeated, I might not get through it. :)

good evening!
until next time!

3 more spring anime-- i watched

here is the batch 2 from the first post about what animes i watched so far this start of spring.
you might wanna read the first one if you haven't read it yet here. xxx

I'll make this quick. I only got 3 more anime to add. Here are some of my first impressions.

7. Aku no hana

- ahh... how am I gonna start about this anime? People are having so many feelings about the animation and i kept my silence just for awhile because in the first place, it's a change. It's different. People are emotional and quick to judge about it. I started the same way. I didn't know much about the whole technicality of doing different kinds of animation but I automatically knew that this is different and so hard to get used to. The animation seems somewhat in slow motion but when you try to look at the movements, it's kinda normal when you look at the 3D people behind it. The audio, of course, the audio and the voices background is called... reality(no, I'm just kidding). Of course, people are in the background so the voices and chatters too, goddammit. *.*
I made a little research and the animation is called Rotoscoping. Although, the animation technique is different, it might not be good for this type of psychological manga. I think, it would be better being used in a drama in summer anime or something really slow and deep type of story. I read that the director insisted on the type of animation, if I'm not mistaken.
Watchers are expecting  very cute, very sexy characters because the story is somewhat ecchi when you get deeper at the story. Fanservice, they wanted it. Hell, I don't know why but many people love cute, sexy, boobie girls singing in their anime/s. Or girls bathing in hotspring. (lol)
I keep patient during the episode 1 and I thought, why will I talk trash when I haven't see the rising plot when the boy sniff his crush's clothes? *haha*
In short, I wouldn't make much shit out of it when I haven't smell the whole shit at all. (haha--sorry for the words) I know it's quick to judge if we didn't know what's happening and it's so quicker to hate when you didn't understand.
It's different, yes it is. Get used to it, hell, we can't change it anyway. If you don't want it, read the manga. It's better. You'll get the story first. :)

8. Mushibugyou

-action, fantasy, historical, samurais, hot boys, average hero
- eyy... spiders!! I am so into historical manga/anime, and the spiders are bonus with the hot man saving the day after things got worst, so hell, I'll definitely be watching this anime!!

9. Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)

-fantasy, action, freaking big titans smashing walls and eating people
-wow, this caught me off guard. I loved it. It's so frightening, It's awesome. hehe. The animation is so good that I want it HD in my flat screen with English dubs and surround sound.
- a recommendation if you didn't scare yourself about big gigantic muscular-system-mannequin-like titans bending mothers before eating them and smirking like hell-scary grins.

that's it!
*of course, these are all my opinions. Okay? Just, exaggerated some descriptive parts. *hehe
*do your homework first before watching anime!

6 spring anime -- watched! (and first impressions-)

let me make this quick because i have many things to do. i'll make this like a quick, easy draft just to familiarize myself(and hopefully you) about them. I tend to forget their plots after a week especially if they are new and sometimes i neglect seeing them in the update. It's just all for me, isn't it?! *laughs*

1. Karneval
 - man, the animation. the good quality when you see it will make you stick in the end. It is a fantasy action anime with two boys. One looks like that boy in Air Gear (hehe, if I'm not mistaken) and the other one looks like the boy in K anime. It would be nice if you try watching this. The circus theme is quite interesting.

2. Date a live
- fantasy, action and comedy
- watched the first ep and it was okayyy...
- to be honest, i could just drop this but i wouldn't just because I'm going to see if I'll be wrong for thinking of dropping this in the first place.
- It's all about a certain org. trying to fight a "spirit"--not the ordinary type, more like a cute, flying and fighting type of spirit. The whole plan(and maybe the whole anime) will be about a high-school boy (brother in law of the commander of the organization) mission to make the said 'spirit' fall in love with him just to save the whole and prevent for further disasters.
- with all the cute girls everywhere, of course.

3. Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru.
- romantic comedy
- about a no-social-life high school boy being assigned into a club by his teacher, which is run by the prettiest girl in school.
- definitely the no-blushing type of anime
- you'll be very intrigued how they'll work out because the differences (with a little similarities) were being obviously laid out at the first episode.
- i felt like, the boy protagonist looks like the boy in Sankarea

4. Hataraku Maou-sama!

- definitely watching this whole anime

- comedy, fantasy, shounen, demons

- it's about a demon king who make burgers, rides bike, shares his umbrella, freaks out when the machine is broken, does all the things for making a salary just to pay their rent (heh)

- the demon language is weird (lol)

5. Photo Kano

- oh man, sometime i feel like i'm too high in standards for looking for an anime that will kick off my butt

- i mean, it's really nostalgic everytime i see this kind

- highschool boy with his camera and taking pictures of all the girls in school--come on!

- lots of panties, skirts, scenery

6. Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge

- i am definitely watching this just because it's so romantic with a touch of darkness in it

- the idea is clever, i mean.. a pair of scissors of death! (haha..)

- no, seriously

*yes guys, i am sorry no Utapri. Mainly because I dropped the first season! i have to start all over again.

*that's it, for now!

*'i'll make the next batch soon

Tamako Market: mochi!

Tamako Market has been one of our favorite anime this winter. No question about that. I also felt like every week I'm looking forward for Tamako's free spirit, Dera's fluffiness and his effort to always fly high that makes me squirm everytime, Mochizou's interest and kindness to Tamako, and Kanna's adorableness(so she's joking about giving the hammer). I'm gonna miss all of it. I am gonna miss the flower shop too because i love flowers and the good animation makes me love them even more :)

But they say, all good things must come to an end. I think the last episode sum-up the anime pretty nicely. What makes me a little bit irritated inside is that some watchers want more of Mochi and Tamako. I mean come on, they are like elementary students and the girl is happy making mochi and dance and twirl her baton so don't expect to go out and wave a different baton! (ahahaha-- i'm sorry--).. if you know what i mean. You can't expect a making out scene, holding hands while walking, or a child of Mochi and Tamako because for God's sake they are teenagers who use paper cups in communicating. The subtle hints, the eyebags and the gifts inside the drawers are all good old first love or puppy love that, believe me or not, will take time. This is a slice of life and comedy anime that if you haven't watched it, must indulge every episode to make your day a little bit lighter if you happened to finished Naruto episode before it.

On the lighter side, who noticed this?
Did you think what I'm thinking?

hxh: my inner fangirl

when you grew with a certain anime that was so close to your heart especially when you still watching it for the second time with its another version 10 years or more after, that's really something. :)
you notice things. you feel the nostalgia of your inner kid-even tho it's still there and actually never leave. you smile every time you started a new episode. you sing along with the opening and closing songs.

you love the characters more. you get to know them.

i am not that crazy fangirl who ship everyone and write a fanfiction of them. but if i'll become one for the entire day(and i say if--not when--lol), i'll ship Hisoka and Machi to death.

We all know that he does have an interest towards Machi. He likes her abilities too. He always ask her out when he have time which is funny because she always turns him down. They paired often in missions too. Machi's loyalty to Chrollo comes first tho and Hisoka's zeal isn't reciprocated. :(

here are some scenes between the two (you are welcome, fangirl!)
--ep 32, 72(hunter x hunter, 2011); original hunter x hunter

The care to join me for a dinner tonight?
---------------

Are you serious about fighting the boss?

Of course, i am.

Would you prefer that i survive, or that Chrollo survive?

A stupid question. Once you finish your job here, you can die for all i care.

And if i kill Chrollo, then what?

That would be impossible. But i'll answer your question. I will pursue you to the ends of the earth to kill you.

I like the sound of that.

well, that's a tease

Psycho-pass last episode thoughts:
we temporarily forgot about these two femme fatale girls and their 'relationship' that was so subtle at the beginning and yet not so much as fans clearly fathomed from the first few moments from episode one. as we are all kept in our seats the whole time focusing on Makishima and the half-naked Shinya kicking the sand bag(yes, that's how i will remember his ass-lol), these two were all along in their own little world.  the creator somehow needed a little 'girl love' of his not-so-moe new world and bureaucratic-society type of anime.

we were then surprised at the final episode unto how bold these two were. at the end, it felt like a little easier to accept the final episode looking at these two. The second season feels like the clue for all the questions left unanswered. For instance, where the hell is Shinya? Or, the most important question is on to how far Sibyl System can go for creating and maintaining a perfect world? How far the system act their so-called logic and psycho-pass level?

One thing i definitely know is that, the new girl is still the new girl and nothing more if this anime didn't gets its second season. I know, Akane is a little tougher trying to make herself a barrier, a balance between the system which can alert the society's level of going good or bad, and the disadvantages of it which is somehow makes her feel that every act is different and that the world is not determined by only black or white, or how high or low your level in your Psycho-pass.

the plant

short blog post: (coz i have a lot to watch-hehe): definitely a random i-have-got-to-say-this thought.

have you watched the AMNESIA ep 9?

i have this screenshot when heroine poured the coffee in a plant.
and i was like, i knew that plant. we have this in our living room. though we aren't really have knowledge to take care of plants that much, we are mature enough to know that it shouldn't be poured by a fuckin hot coffee. heh. it's pretty nice to look an anime of the plant which is more gorgeous that the original living one. maybe i appreciated this plant more because of this amnesia episode. i don't like this plant before. *chuckles*

Toma had been really crazily protective, isn't it? tho, i said it's crazy. he put her into a cage smaller that her cabinet. dammit. if i were her, i'll be panting because he induced claustrophobia in me. sick. :(

*cries*

i'll try really hard to be fair, okay? but.. i am always fair tho. :3
yeah.. it's a Vampire knight blog post. read?

ahm, lemme see. the first time i read about vampire knight, Kaname was built as someone whom Yuki admire. I remember the Valentine's day/Birthday(ican'trecall) chapter when Kaname received a lot of chocolates and gifts. He ordered his classmate to get the rest but he got that one particular gift that matters to him. A gift from Yuki. So I totally realized from that point, 'hey, they're really cute together' and i shipped them as if i knew they'll be together along the way.

Turns out, a fangirl needs a lot of thinking. Until now i've been reading the manga, and stressing my life out of the three main characters. And.. the funny thing is.. i changed perspectives.. including the one i rooted for from the start. For me, my basis of choosing the right guy to a girl protagonist(hm.. let's just say,-- to a really deserving girl) is on how he was turned out to be as solid as from the beginning. I personally don't like characters who does think of things that will make a bigger complication between who he loves. I don't want him to be selfish just so he's clear enough not to be hurting the girl, so he'll do a stupid thing like hurting and killing other people. And don't make that crappy reason of 'because i want you to be safe', well.. hell, the girl is safe but half of your race has suffered and dead!!! (i got carried away, isn't it?--lol) I don't want to feel a fuckin' feeling like i've been reading a shoujo manga all this time and read a fuckin' misunderstanding, i-didn't-anticipate-he'll-be-inlove-with-you bullshit!

*calms*

bullets:

  • the chapter started with Yuki erasing Zero's memories-- Kaito was right, that was a vampire sense of selfishness. To 'save him'. * but of course, he'll remember things eventually*. And of course, think of this, if Yuki is out of Zero's mind, the cheating doesn't really happened. She said clearly that they can't be together from the last few chapters when they were travelling. Tho, again, they kissed during the ball, right? then, she saw Kaname afterwards. *oh girl..*
  •  the truth came out when Kaname just wanted to make Yuki safe after calling her a traitor(which isn't true?) and a hindrance(which isn't true?) at the few chapters before.
  • honestly, even if Yuki and Kaname loves each other which has been portrayed in the chapter, it left a bitter aftertaste in me. The flirting and the reunion and the words aren't sweet to me. urgh. (i am sorry, YuMe fans). I felt the same feeling when they ran together back from the academy. It should be really sweet for me, i was a Kaname fan back there. I wanted them to be together.
  • They had sex. Well, Yuki had some action there. *lol* But she's crying. Okay, Is she crying because finally she's with Kaname that intimate, or she has plans?
  •  -- It's like.. 'oh, you cared, i thought you left me and not being humane again but i'm not letting you go because then you'll lie and run way and you were more lonely than the rest of us' 'oh, i am not going anywhere now'. 'Ok, let's have some smokin' sex because we reconcile and we love each other' -bs! The end. haha. (i am just kidding guys..)
  • many people believe that someone will die, Kaname, or both Kaname and Yuki. The author needs to fuckin' straighten up her shit about ending this manga because hell will break loose. With the dying predictions, come on guys, don't be mean. Ok.. let Yuki be, at least. (joke!)
The characters, for me, are built unfairly. I mean, if kaname and Yuki, for instance is for each other in the end, at least Zero must have to have a great fight for her along the story. I acknowledge but then that Kaname and Yuki had some shares of heartaches too. I think it's not really right/nice to express feelings that can make the two boys hope for love. Tho Yuki and Zero weren't once a true couple(aren't they?), and Yuki always choose Kaname(oh, don't argue with me with this) even if the reason is mainly bec. they are related, which is I am sure it is not the reason.. Yuki must have had this strong decision to whom she'll give her heart to at the first place. I think they both thinking about being with and saving each other, and Zero left unsatisfied and hurt at the side lines and totally frustrated. i just don't like a girl who doesn't have strong sense of confidence and unwavering feeling  enough to tell and express her love to whoever she chooses. being naive is a turn off.
---

let's think positive, Yume supporters are on fire! :)
Zeki supporters, let's not lose hope!
Yuki supporters.. hm, i heard.. "you, go girl!" screams there..
me: honestly,????????
The fuck!! Zero my poor Zero. ican't even. let me love you. lemmee.. I want you to be happy. Forget Yuki, you'll be better off alone or with another deserving girl who is smart enough to know her own emotions and know who she really love.
me:....
me: let's end this shit. it's so stressful!

notes:
*sorry for the bad words. *puppy dog eyes*
*last arc, last arc..
*acceptance
*nononono
*haha
*please, VK, please end already.
*you know what i thought about the ending? Even if she'll' end up to one or to no one, i won't be satisfied by it, if i will be, i think it's because it had ended already and might find myself smiling. It feels like the journey is very stressful as a reader.  knowing that along the way that my perceptions about the whole manga about containing scenes that were twisted and unfair, characters feels like being built with disappointmental flaws, unfairness among side characters, decisions left not being straighten and confusing scenes being confusing much more along the next preceding chapters that made some readers left confused and left in a deserted island knowing only on just how far Yuki had been different(some even quit reading the series), i couldn't be more happy if this manga will end tomorrow. Being with my selfish side today, i wanted a closure just so i might ('migh't okay?) reread it from the beginning up to the end. i might find myself understanding how the story evolved. Because i believed something went wrong along the way that felt really weird.

Just by talking about it, still vampire knight fans are still with zeal about the manga. Bravo, Hino Matsuri, Bravo! (sarcasm)--lol

im out!

the Big 12 of 2012 (for me!)

i know i told you about listing and enumerating my top-ten favorite manga i read this 2012, but i'll extend it to 12 because it's in the year 2012 and ah-- to be honest i had read so much manga this year. imagine it. so.. i'll do my best to narrow it down and choose the best manga I've read. though, these manga were published either started from the year 1993 to onward. it's just that I've read it within this year and i had fun reading it. i also scrolled it in my list so it's alphabetically being narrowed. and this list was like cut until letter H or T. *laughs*
Anyways, these bunch is among the best. :)
this list is in no particular order. it doesn't mean i started mentioning it at number 1, it had been my fave. remember, no reader doesn't have a favorite, he have favorites.
Some of  these manga are on-going and still being published in their respective future dates.
1. Heroine Shikkaku
     - what i like about this manga is that it is hilariously entertaining. imagine a beautiful, confident but clingy and emotional girl having unrequited love to her childhood friend. the funny thing is the guy had a girlfriend recently who let's just say, is plain yet really kind. Hatori on the other hand is at her limits after the revelation and the sudden realization of her feelings that she now believed should be given back. She believes that in her love story, she is a heroine and her childhood friend Rita, is her hero. It comprises chapters of funny scenes of Hatori and her plans to make sure that in the end Rita will fall in love with her.
2. Hachimitsu ni hatsukoi
      - 2 childhood friends, cliche' right? but.. nothing hurts.
3. Moyashi Otoko to Tane Shoujo
       - happy endings? not that fast. this sure will break your heart but will make you smile because sometimes, he's not the one. i made a post about this. here: x
4. Kamisama Kiss
      - there are manga that should be started by watching and finishing the anime first if available. this is one of them. i had this supressed excitement when reading the manga. i stopped reading it just so i have to compare the anime with it. i finished the anime first and i now continue reading the manga updates. to be honest, i'm still half-way in the manga. i am still in chapter 44, i think. i'm enjoying the manga. i have this tendency to be confused when reading manga and watching the anime at the same time. Usually you compare the animation with the 2D, but when it comes to this manga, i appreciate the animation more even if it was cut short in ep 13 and some of the chapters were skipped. sometimes we nedd to wathc them moving. the funny, romantic scenes in the anime is to die for. i have high hopes for OVAs and a second season. :)
5. Ao haru ride
      - this manga won me even before. i automatically inserted it in my list of favorites the first time i read this manga way back though i loved Strobe edge first. i love the mangaka, with her art and style immediately. i loved Kyou every chapter updates. What made me a little disappointed was the chapter that many readers were disappointed too. but i get it, this is a new twist, or progression, or whatever it is. i get it that sometimes characters may or may not do something stupid. i totally get it that characters aren't there to please readers. Though the character progression of Kyou was a little abrupt. In my opinion, Kyou was being built a very opened guy which compared to other characters in other manga who are different to fathom. I've read some comments that a certain chapter if you are updated, made them compare in similarities to other manga. it could have been original. but.. i don't know.. let's see. i wouldn't be surprised if the next chapter will reveal a misunderstanding chapter(which of course you can't blame me to compare to other manga now).
6. Black bird
      - Kyo has been well loved and consistent in the manga. Though the girl protagonist needs to always being rescued, the manga progress smoothly and have no boring chapters. still one of the best. i got really spoiled for the next new chapters. still one of my fave this year.
7. Hana ni kedamono
   - a typical naive girl, beautiful guy, school-based manga and nice art.
8. Kore wa koi no hanashi
     - if there is one manga i would like to keep it to myself, this is the one. *haha*. because, i don't want it to be stained by the not-so- fans of this type of manga. i read it with no bitterness and i have my opinion over the story. i just don't want people to criticize a manga they doesn't read yet up to the end. they are some too who express their interpretation over the manga and i get that.for me, the mangaka's interpretation shouldn't be always your interpetation too. you have to own what you read. i just learned about that having to read a lot of manga and books these past years. you should own it and be humble. the book is being owned by the reader not the author.
9. Taiyou no ie
    - very cute though the updates are slow, but very, very cute.
10. 5-Ji kara 9-ji made
    - the boy protagonist doesn't have the qualities to be one but the story sure is interesting.
11. Akatsuki no Yona
    - i've read manga similar to this. like, the princess's family or father was dead, she was kidnapped or being rescued by her childhood friend for a quest or something. the story is funny, and it updates fast sometimes and the title is catchy i guess. *tee hee*
12. Bokura wa itsumo
    - very cute

-----
i just can't pick 12, right?! *smiles* (here are some others):
1. Kuroko no basket-- hilarious, lovable characters. pick your hero and build an empire! *junpei fan here*
2. Skip beat! -- the emotions every time it updates drives me and my followers insane! if you haven't read this, you're missing half of your otaku life!
3.Good ending -- i don't know, i find myself needing to read this when it updates. the mangaka is having a good time twisting and turning the story that i have to wait what he/she will offer next..
4. Horimiya -- one of my fave! Miyamura took my heart away! the fetishly-drawn face of him is obvious. the mangaka loves sketching the guy.
5. Hibi chouchou -- a lot of stares, a lot of cute scenes, the boy is starting to make me irritated but.. hell.. i'll continue reading this.

i have a lot really but i have to stop now. :)
