Saying goodbye...

Onemanga.com will remove all its manga next week.

It breaks my heart to be saying goodbye silently to the website who introduced me to a world of manga. It is my first favorite manga website. It influences me to do my fuckyeahs in both tumblr and blogger. I'm talking about Onemanga.com saying its farewell. I hate saying byebye, but it can't be helped. It is an unathorized manga site broadcasting updated chapters of manga everyday and having it closed left us all alone hanging. Eventhough, there are other manga sites out there, Onemanga still leads as one of the top-viewed manga site for scanlations.
That brings me to the topic of the unathorized manga sites lingered in the net.
My opinion is this:

The voluntary scanlations of manga owners to a manga website is not a crime. They own a volume of their favorite manga and sharing of them in net represents love and freedom of fondness.  If I have an updated one, I won't have a second thought of scanning it and share the pages to all of you.  Manga publishers didn't understand that. Furthermore, last month, publishers all over the world specially publishers of Japan and America doing their best to counteract unathorized manga sites to run.
I have internet and the fastest place to look for manga chapters is in front of my very eyes. Going to the bookstore that merely caters manga volumes sucked big time. I'm having a hard time to look for a bookstore selling manga that updated and consistently adding volumes on their bookshelves. In top of that, I with most manga readers out there can't afford updated volumes of our favorite manga when some of them publishes at the same time. It is very selfish hearing my reasons but when it comes to priorities, when all unathorized manga translations are all gone and wiped out, i think wise manga readers out there will feel remain in doomed and will put manga reading into silence. Profit of the publishers may increase but not so much(i guess). As of for me, spotting a good manga will be impossible anymore. The thrill of discovering a good one will decrease and will have a controlled limit with  few popular mangas(to think they are better among others and no one else).

As for the plan of establishing an authorized website "Openmanga", I can't comment on that because I haven't experienced it yet. '.'

I'm ending this with a heavy heart...and a hope of leaving things at it is.. leaving happiness to readers who just love manga. ;)
