wings...

I am mesmerized by someone with wings. How animators draw them and color them black to a beautiful person... specially to a male. I don't know, it is like an angel from up above, cooler, stronger and manly. So for that, I am starting to love Black Bird. The first pages is like, wow!...

Here is the sypnosis:

High school student Misao Harada has been saving herself for that special somebody that she met back when she was a little girl. But little does she suspect that the adorable boy she remembers is somehow connected to all the weird ghosts and ghoulies only she can see that always seem to be following her around! She has just celebrated her sixteenth birthday when she learns that she is the bride of prophecy: Demons that drink her blood gain long life, demons that eat her flesh gain immortality, and the demon that marries her wins guaranteed good fortune for his clan. Needless to say, she is a hot commodity—and hottest on her tail is the über-hot karasu Kyo, who is determined to make her his bride! Will she ever let this onetime childhood friend go from licking her wounds to *ahem* licking her in other places as well?(sypnosis not mine)

Let's get to the point.  What I love about this manga are, the 8 retainers who are so adorable and cute, Kyou with his black wings and the licking part(oh yeah!).
The idea was full of blood but no vampires around(yet?) and romance that we always love(and how far it will go?). I also sense a clan clash.

The first page?... Black feathers are everywhere. Flashbacks are almost been in all manga, its like the heart of the whole idea. Never gets old.
The 6-year-old Misao had been said goodbye and promise by his childhood friend, Kyou.

The abnormal thing is, together with this guy, they always see strange creatures that surrounds them everywhere. Small demons sticks to her body like smelling her perfume. But for them, its the blood they wanted for immortality.

She's 16 now and she hold on to a promise, with the hopes of Kyou coming back for her.

Danger is everywhere. She always find herself hurt by this strange creatures leaving her with cuts, scrapes and bruises and sometimes a near-death incidences. But as the saying goes, a hero is always arrives late... After 10 years of waiting, the childhood friend who live as her neighbor with an offer her to be his wife and protect her from being hurt. He appears to be her math teacher.

Duh? It is so easy to answer, right?

It excites me a lot, when the 8 retainers appears and Shou(one of the retainers and older brother of Kyou) made an unexpected entrance and a dangerous scene.

As for Kyou's older brother, at first He appears to be of help to Misao,

Misao doesn't remember much of her memories because of sealing reasons and wanted to regain them. Shou uses it to in-danger the two.

He put Kyou near to his death and attempt to hurt(and rape) Misao,

Kyou arrived...and got hurt.

Some memories came flashing back into Misao's mind.

Tarou( cute 6-year-old retainer) try to save her but cutting her hair because Shou played and pulled her hair. The other 6 retainers took the remaining job. Shou was put under surveillance.

Kissing is sacred here!. ;) She should kiss Shou to heal his wounds.(the idea is kinda perverted, whatcha think?)

It is irregularly ongoing manga, so it may left us hanging that wanting it so hard.
